It's official...I'm tall and slim (or thin)

I am in week two of a new job.  It's one thing when friends or co-workers, who knew you fat, call you slim or thin.

It's another when a new friend, who has never seen you fat, calls you slim or thin.

Who else gets this????

In my mind, those who knew me fat, call me thin or slim because of the big swing in my weight, but not necessarily because I am thin, they call me slim or thin by comparison to who I use to be.

The new co-workers, have never seen me fat, and therefore carry more credibility when they call me slim or thin.

So, it's official.  I have heard it from 3 different sources this week, from new acquaintances.   I am tall and slim (or thin).

Yes, it takes an outsiders opinion for my brain to get it.  I am two years out, one year at this weight and I'm still trying to get use to this size two person.

 I'm one step closer today!

I get it. I changed departments for a 1 year detail back in Sept. I had lost 120 pounds since surgery and the old peers saw me shrink but didn't really say a whole lot about it. I only told 2 women that I'm now in a size 2. I ran into one of my former co workers in the cafeteria and she was like "oh you're still thin!"--lol.

The new crew calls me skinny and I always have to remind myself that I am!

Doesn't it blow your mind?

I was traveling recently, was in Orlando.  Went to a club with a friend.  Sat down at the bar.  Bartender gives me the once-over and says, "Hello, skinny, what can I get you?"

I was floored.

It is funny. I look at pictures of myself and I'm too thin. But in my mind I still can't see it. Odd.

Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

I agree.

While I am only 4 months at goal, still cannot get used to the new body.

Went to a semi-formal function on Friday with a long swingy skirt and a quite lovely jacket.  A former classmate and I had quite the chat and I thought all was going well until she asked me who I was.

I still FEEL fat.
