Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 1/10
Morning,
161.4 today - same. Saw my knee surgeon yesterday and he wont release me to return to work for another 2 weeks. Part of me is relieved, because I know I'm not ready, but the other part feels very guilty because there is no one to do my job and assist my boss when I am gone. And her father passed away last week, funeral is today, so I am waiting to tell her on Friday. She is very nice, but .. Doctor says he is "protecting me from myself".

I met my new trainer at the gym tonight, neat very energetic guy- very on board to shake things up for me and help me build more and very much more informed than previous ones regarding metabolism and nutrition science. I'm going to be working with him a few times here and there to get a good lifting routine down.. So, for the time being, no financial savings on the immediate horizon- but I did enjoy swimming some laps and the sauna after our meeting. First full body workout is Tues after work. Metabolic testing soon, and another bodycomp test too.
Funny, I can't do with out them. I throw fruit in them, or peanut butter, or whatever, and can get my calories in easier. If I ever had an issue with regain, at least one of my shakes would be the first thing to go and solids in its place.
Isn't it interesting the different strategies we each use? You use shakes to decrease calories, I use them to increase calories. Lots of things like that, it's all so individual.
