Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday 1/8
Good morning!
Today's weight: 135.6
In other news, my bike is in! I will be picking it up after work. It's a good quality bike, but not a racing bike or anything like that. Just a hybrid for riding on roads and gravel trails. Looks a little old-fashioned because I have to sit somewhat upright, but it has suspension on the seat post and the front forks. So excited. I'll post a picture tomorrow if I can pick it up while there's still enough light to get a good one. First time I've ever had a bike-shop quality bike and I am stoked.

So happy your bike is in Mom! It's so much fun to get something new that you really have wanted. Add to that the fact that the bike will be one more healthy thing you do for yourself and enjoy, makes it so cool!!
I'm tired this morning. My 14 year had a meltdown last night just as I was going to bed, as she's overwhelmed by her upcoming finals. Needless to say, I didn't get to bed until much later. I hate to see her like that. She was having trouble finding anything positive about herself. I've been there and my heart ached for her. DH and I were able to help her turn things around and come up with a plan. She was still sleeping when I lift this morning, so hoping she'll wake up feeling better. Without being drugged by food, I was able to stay calm and as objective as possible, and be fully present for her.
Yes we will! She's feeling better now, and has things under better control. We ended up letting her stay home today and re-group, and I think it did her a world of good. I shudder to think about when the younger one gets to this age. I fear she will be more of a handful, in a different way, and I'll be close to retirement age at that point! LOL Oh well, one day at a time!
