VSG Maintenance Group
Im back :-)
I really haven't been at goal long enough to give any real good suggestions, save for that diet is mostly the driver in loss and maintaining. I don't work out much at all either, just weight lifting 1x a week.. but for me, from this time- and last time I lost all the weight, I need to make sure I eat low carb. I get in a goodly amount of protein, ditch all grains and get some veggies and fats, and I'm good. If I start indulging too much in grains/carbs, alcohol or treats (sugar) of any kind, the weight slowly jumps back on. As long as I watch my diet, things go the way I like them..
In an Ideal world, what would your weight be? What would you be willing to do to get there? I mean on a scale of 1-10, 10 being anything at all, where are you on this?
I can tell you that this is less about the exercise and more about the calories and the mix of nutrients. When I want to lose weight, I cut the calories down to about 800 or even less and keep it mostly lean, homemade protein and green leafy veggies. I do this until....
It doesn't take me long to lose weight when I do this. It is not easy, which is why I asked about your willingness to do something a bit harder. This is certainly not for everyone, but it is very doable and productive for me.
