Daily Maintenance Weigh In, Thursday 1/3

Good morning.

OK, confession. I was cranky and bloated and miserable this morning and didn't weigh myself. Carrying enough fluid to sink the Titanic, so I'd guess at least up a pound from yesterday which was up a pound from the day before. Peri-menopausal hormone swings. What a joy.

No-one better look sideways at me today, is all I'm sayin'.

179.3 this morning.  I haven't posted in a couple of days.  I know I purposely didn't follow my schedule of weighing amd/or didn't have time to post, as my weight had gone up to around 180.  I ate too much high calorie/high fat snacks and some extra carbs on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.  What I know, however, is if I don't fess up, and then avoid the accountability of weighing and posting, I risk sliding back into old patterns.  Can't do that anymore.  Food was clean yesterday and I went to my first support group since September, last night.  Weight is going back down, as well.  Thanks for being here - I need you all!

I am proud of you for posting.  It is part of what will keep you on track long term.  Excellent job in refusing to play ostrich.

Thanks so much Elina!  Glad to see you're here and working hard.  I'm very proud of you as well!  It's not easy work, but we are all plugging away as we have reached the point in our lives that moving forward is the only way to go. I get on-going hope for the future when I hear from you and others with longer recovery still working at it.  We can all do it!

108 even this morning, down from 108.4 yesterday.  The best news is that I fully stayed on plan and even if I had lost nothing, I would have been happy with my behavior and that alone would have been enough to feel successful in the short run, in the long run, I would have cut calories even further.  Today is a new day, but the goals are the same.

I have lost 2.5 lbs since January 1st. Your Green Chicken Soup is wonderful! I've been sharing it with everyone I know.

Thank you!

I am glad you like it and it's really working for you.  Do you like wild mushrooms? Recently, I have been buying them on line in large quantities (dried of course) and then soaking them in boiling water and adding them to my soup.  They are super high in nutrients and have very little calories and I love the taste.  My husband hates mushrooms, so I add them to my individual bowl.
