Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Saturday 12/29
Good morning. Not much left of the year; soon I'll have to get in the habit of writing 2013. That changeover has gotten a little easier in my new job - in the old one we had to switch over to doing 2013 things by November so you were trying to remember to type 2013 while still also remembering to type 2012. But still it'll probably take me until mid-February to get it right all the time. So glad Excel at least does the thinking for you.
Today's weight: 134.8 again
Today's plan: curled up in a chair with a good book. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
178.8 today. Not bad, considering the holiday and then eating restaurant/catered food for 2 days and then Christmas leftovers. I made a pot of beef stock last night, and plan on making a veggie beef soup later. We're supposed to get snow this afternoon and tonight - another 3-6 inches on top of what we got Thursday. I'll be getting errands done and then probably curling up by the woodstove later today, as well.
162.4 today. Very close to "normal",
http://www.youtube.com/user/72Crabadams Me rambling about my journey : )
It would have "apppeared" more impressive if I had posted yesterday when my weight was 163.8, and missed today when its back to 165.0. I made the mistake of having a few pieces of caramel popcorn, and you know what happens then..........roller coaster riding for the rest of the day. No caramel popcorn for me today, and hopefully, the weight will go back down a bit by tomorrow. I know that salt causes water retention, but does sugar do the same? I probably went a couple of hundred calories over my normal amount yesterday too so that wouldn't help, but certainly shouldn't cause a pound of gain.
Have a great day everyone!
180.4 - WTF! Thats the most I have weighed since October.
And yes, I checked the scales calibration - thats accurate.
So which book did you choose to read?
I started running again today. Between all of my surgeries and my hip flexor change this is the first time I have been able/allowed to run since August. It is 36 degrees outside with a wintry mix and I am still freezing, but it was INCREDIBLE.

I tried Les Mis for about 2 hours last night & at least that today and just could not get interested . I really don't do well with fiction to begin with and often feel guilty that I haven't read either a lot of the classics or even many of the recent hits. I generally read a non-fiction book or two each week, but try fiction in vain.
Didn't feel guilty enough to plod on though. So switched to 'Far From The Tree'.

113.2 this morning after a good night's sleep. Yesterday I got 4 hours of sleep and it said 115.8 lol It always makes me giggle when that happens.
Stretching and yoga on the menu today after an exciting drive to Starbucks with my pug in my lap. hehe It's raining here in SoCal, so the pug and I are watching movies and cuddling while the husband works. :P
