Daily Maintenance Weigh In - TGIF 12/7
Good morning. This weekend's plans: Rain. Followed by drizzle. With the occasional downpour. No hike, I imagine.
Today's weight: 138.0
I have finally, finally, finally found a pair of non-stretch jeans that fit. I don't actually like the stretch- material jeans. I like the old fashioned heavy cotton denim ones. But I've never been able to wear them because of my body shape: very long torso, tiny wasp waist, broad hips and my calves nearly as big as my thighs. Tapered leg or skinny jeans? Nope, calves too tight. Most jeans that fit my hips? Waist too big.
The other day a friend was complaining that she'd ordered some LL Bean jeans and the waist was too small and hips were too big. I thought hmmmm - sounds like me! Then I found out they make a style called "straight leg" that's not a boot cut widening of the calf (all my jeans are boot cut) but no narrowing either and I thought double-hmmmm. So I took a flyer and ordered a pair in size 6 and they're PERFECT! Today I plan to order several more pair.

Tonight I give a speech at the Cnetennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity's Christmas Event. I have my sweet new Calvin Klein suit all set up. Thomas is going to shoot video - I plan to post it later tonight or in the morning.
Glad you found some jeans that fit!

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!
180.3 this morning. Was hungry last night so had a snack of something I don't usually have, though not high in carbs - maybe too many calories, especially just before bed. Scale keeps flashing lo, so I definitely need to replace the battery. I'm going away overnight with a friend, so no weighing tomorrow morning. We plan to shop, visit with her sister, and see my dad on the way home. Dad is finally back in rehab. Hopefully this time his next stop will be home, not back to the hospital. Have a great weekend all!
Was it salty? I'm not super sensitive to sodium, I flu**** out pretty quickly, but late night sodium will make the scale number a little higher in the morning.

Actually it wasn't salty at all. It was an unsalted rice cake with unsalted natural PB. I think it was the added fat and calories so late at night. I did have a couple of pieces of genoa salami as a snack between lunch and supper, as we were out of my usual low fat mozzarella sticks, and that may be the culprit. The other days I fluctuated up, I also had some salami. I should know better, as it's so high in both salt and fat!
Oh, I forgot to add - congrats on finding the perfect fitting jeans! I worked at one of LLBean's call centers as a seasonal employee 3 years ago. Unfortunately, they closed the call center near me a few months later, or I would have done it again. They're a great place to work, and we got a fantastic employee discount and other benies. Their products are wonderful too!
Oh yeah! Congrats on finding a perfect pair of jeans!!!!!!!
Today's weight 164.4.
Went on my longest run to date last night - 5 miles! I am a bit sore today but have a rest day today so I'm not bothered. Long run tomorrow with training group - I wonder how long they are going to want us to run because 5 miles was a lot!
Hoping to acquire a Christmas tree this weekend but may not get it decorated by Monday - busy weekend ahead!
