Reality Check: Maintenance Weight

Thanks... yeah, I KNOW there's a lot of fat in here still. I have my surgeon's follow up tomorrow and then I'm going to schedule with a plastics person to see what they say too. Won't hurt to meet with someone, although I'm pretty sure I need to lose a little more, either way.

An update to this for those that were wondering... I met with my surgeon this morning. First, he's still completely amazed that I continue to lose at almost 18 months out and he's thrilled with where I am. Made me feel good :) I'm doing much better than he (and frankly, I) ever expected. We talked about weights since I'm basically at my "goal" weight now and his feeling is to just keep losing until I stop and then talk to a plastic surgeon. He feels like I can get down to 150 on my own though as long as I keep kicking butt.

The scale is still taunting me with 177 to 178 (LOL, over 2 weeks, totally normal pattern, but COME ON) so 2 more pounds until "goal" and then I'll scream and celebrate for a day before moving my official goal here. I just want ONE day of being at "goal" I guess. Silly, I know, and my own head game, but I've been at this for a long time :)

I also decided yesterday to up my calories to 1000 per day. I'd been keeping around 800 and I'm starting to feel a little run down after all this time. If it stalls me out or something, I'll revisit, but some days it's hard to hit 800, so I think it will be more of a struggle to get that much in anyway. LOL I could do it with crap food, but I'm sticking with the low carb and going to keep on trucking.

I might still visit a plastic surgeon just to see what they think, overall, about where I am now. I haven't made that decision yet.

So, I guess I don't get to join you here in maintenance quite yet. Thanks for letting me visit from time to time though :) xoxo

Awesome work!  Way to go.

I am 5' 8 and 1/2 inches.  I weigh  131 to 133.

Go for the loss if you want it.

Don't settle.  Don't listen to the wasting away comments.  Don't let anyone else decide what weight you should be.  It's your choice!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm hearing the "wow, you're getting too thin"... I'm like WHAT? It's because people are just used to seeing me at 375 I guess :)
