Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday 11/26
http://www.youtube.com/user/72Crabadams Me rambling about my journey : )
114.2 this morning. I know I really didn't gain a lb - I just tend to lose lose lose then bounce up a little. Especially when I intake a lot of water. Like yesterday - finally tried my mojito crystal light. Yummy nummy goodness, drank the whole 2 quarts on top of all the bottled waters and coffee and tea. lol. I was floating yesterday.
Hi all,
So I am ready to jump in. Have been for a while actually - I am one of the daily lurkers. I had my VSG almost one year ago, 11/28/11 and have lost 116.2 pounds. I have set my goal at 159 for now which will put me in the normal BMI category at 5'7". Had my one year surgeon's review a couple of weeks early and all my labs are stellar. AND I just turned 63!
I am now in the early stages of recovery from a total knee replacement, done 1 week ago. All the years of carrying that weight and some genetics, necessitated this surgery. It is not fun in any way, but I am working hard, and look forward to a completely positive outcome. I can't wait to be able to do some of the things I read that all of you are doing - hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling. Just plain moving.
I haven't weighed since the morning of surgery and that was 167.2. I am pretty swollen and bit "plugged" from narrcotics if you get my drift, so I will wait a few days to get back on the scale. I do look forward to becoming a part of this group - I feel like I know you already!
Judy
Welcome!
My Mom had both knees replaced and I'm not sure I had this surgery done soon enough to save my right knee. We'll see. But you'll be glad, once it heals, that you had it done!
