Might as well get this over with, heh heh.  158.  Up two more pounds, which makes me eight pounds above goal.  There is no mystery here, as I have eaten garbage for several weeks now; and yesterday, in my determination to have no junk in the house by today, I ate what I wanted of it, then threw the rest out in the garbage.

It was that "eating what I wanted of it" that was the problem.  After a lovely meal at the mall after church, (the first time I have been able to join my church friends in that every-Sunday ritual since February!!! because of my back surgery), at which I had chicken and broccoli, I went home and ate unmentionables all afternoon and evening.  So I am actually glad to see the scale up two *more* pounds this morning.  "Getting away" with eating like that is NOT good for me.  Sets me up to do more of it.

So this morning I have had half an egg and cheese omelet, a spoonful of peanut butter, and a pack of two small crunchy granola bars.  Yes, I know I might do well to lose the granola bars, but I don't eat any other complex grainy carbs during the day (normally, not the past several weeks, ha ha).  Maybe I'll let go of them as my clean-up job continues, especially if I don't shift the pounds.

And that is that :-)

166 today - bouncy, bouncy.

Seems that I am still losing inches but nothing is showing on the scale yet. Been playing around 166 for nearly 2 months now - well, whatever.

It is official, I have registered for my first (and possibly last) half marathon in February! I have been increasing my mileage slowly and have not had any recent pains to speak of so I decided what the heck? Of course today after spending $100 on said registration I am feeling a "twinge" in my right knee - psychological?

Editing to add: just realized my 1st half marathon will be on my 2 year surgiversary!

135.5 today.

Busy from now until the 18th with work stuff--so many people take time off during the holidays that I always get slammed between Thanksgiving and New Year's.  Pays the bills even if it makes me a little crazy.

174.6 today.

Watch this drop over the week as I go back to work, spend less time on my feet and get more regular sleep - even though I have upped my calories back to the 1400 range.  Bets on what it will be tomorrow?

Its 11 AM and I am already at 88 ounces of water.

BTW - I was shopping for DH and found a great place for restaurant equipment, webstaurantstore.com, that has an AWESOME selection of DaVinci sugar free syrups - including banana, Strawberry, Coconut, Irish Cream (My New Obsession) at good prices.  You can order single bottles or by the case.  Check it out.

I guarantee you at 1400 calories you'll drop from 174.6 - and keep dropping. You're likely going to need to slowly up it some more to maintain. I'm at 136 at 1800-2000 calories. Yeah, I'm active but that's 40 lbs lighter than you. Can't tell you where you'll land as that seems to vary from person to person, but I'm confident that it'll be much higher than 1400.

I love, love, love DaVinci syrups because they let me add variety to my shakes quickly and easily.

So a little bit of the old me surfaced over the holiday. I had a great Thanksgiving. Went to the gym in the morning and did 6 miles on the elliptical, came home made two sugar free pumpkin pudding pies to take to dinner and the mashed potatoes. Had a great time while visiting with family and friends and ate COMPLETELY ON PLAN. Portioned things out nicely on my plate and didn't even finish. I did have one unplanned splurge - a Resse's peanut butter cup, but that's it. Next day, up 3 pounds. Water I know.

Day after Turkey Day. Had left overs. Didn't over eat, stayed in my calorie range and worked out hard and did 3 miles after my workout. Saturday up two more pounds. Color me PISSED.

So Saturday and Sunday I had some of those old who gives a **** feelings and while I didn't eat like a pig, I wasn't as careful as I usually am and ate a few times simply because I wanted to eat - not because I was hungry or it was meal time. RED FLAG time.

So today I am pulling up the big boy pants and am back on track. I am just about 5 pounds over where I was on Thursday morning - and that is OVER MY GOAL RANGE.

Today's weigh in - 177

I am promising myself to be back in range in a few days.

How close to goal do you have to be?  I lurk here everyday, but don't feel like I'm close to goal enough to post.  I'm 44# from my first goal:)  That's still a lot!!  However, I enjoying reading and learning here.  Thanks!!!  Lesa

You don't have to be anywhere near goal.  Post as often as you wish.  You are more than welcome here starting right now.  No need to wait until goal.  Lesa, I am not kidding, you really are welcome to post, ask questions, offer advice and be a full and active member of this group.
