Who else still has tail bone pain?

My tailbone is better than it was a year ago, but still hurts if I sit too long.  I have a ****yx cushion that I carry around with me if I know I'm gonna be sitting.

The one exercise that I found that helped almost immediately with the tailbone is the bloody old-time Stairmaster.  I assume it works some muscles in the butt that pull the tailbone back into place. But I still miss my extra padding!

Someone on the RNY board - LadyLithia, I think - had the ****yx surgery.  It didn't help, and I got the impression that it's really hit or miss on whether it works or not.

I do have a ski exerciser, but it doesn't seem to help.  I've seen a physio but he had nothing to offer.  There doesn't seem to be an operation with a good success rate.  May just have to put up with the problem!

Yep- it was ladylithia that had it done.. that's the person I was thinking of.

Thanks.  I'm up for almost anything except another operation...

I can imagine that could be painful!  I always shower, so not a problem...  I have occasionally taken painkillers, but now trying to ignore it.  Standing rather than sitting at my desk is much easier now as I have an electric raising desk, luxury!

Mine went away after the first year of maintenance. Is it possible you broke the tailbone at some point? If so, the pain will never go away unless you have surgery. If not, try strengthening your glutes.

More exercise!?  Physio told me nothing would help, but I have nothing to lose trying, except some more weight, YAY!
