Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Friday 11/9
Good morning and happy Friday!
Today's weight 137.6
Warmth tip: I have started cultivating hats. Not just the winter weather kind of hats, but all sorts worn all day long. Today it's a black fedora with a pink floral print band. I started this because my winter weather hats flatten my hair and I can't get it to do anything the rest of the day, so I just plop a fashion hat on it to cover the damage.
They say we lose a lot of heat through our heads, and this appears to be accurate in my case - I've noticed that the days I wear a hat at the office I have an easier time getting warm. It's not a miracle, I still have to use my space heaters and whatnot, but it seems I'm warmer overall. For what it's worth.

166.0 - OK a new low but not by much (0.2).
Good run last night the 2/1 intervals are really not too bad - went for nearly 3.5 miles. Personal training today and AHL hockey game to go to tonight. Husband has us running around hosting out-of-town bands for a small festival his community radio show is supporting - gonna be hectic!
I know you don't have an appetite, but how about putting yourself on a schedule and eating on a schedule, as well as adding some carbs/higher calorie choices until you gain some back?
I'm a little concerned, to be honest. If you're 5'2", by my calculation your BMI has now dropped to a hair over 18. Might be time to see a doctor on this?

I know what you are saying, but I am already doing all of this. I am drinking shakes mixed with peanut butter and I have increased my carb intake. It seems that there is a double whammy happening here. I have lost my appetite at the same time as my body seems to have kicked into a huge metabolic uptick. I think my feelings are manifesting themselves through increased activity and small uncontrolled movements, like tapping of the feet. In other words, I can't sit still. This is all very puzzling. Thank you for your concern. If this trend continues and I drop to 95 lbs., I will go in and see the doctor.
The metabolic uptick is most certainly real; I've experienced it myself and need to eat far more calories than I possibly imagined I would to even hold my ground - I'm over 2000 many days now and since I've started trying to gain a few back I never go under 1850. And still I hit a new low yesterday and stayed there today.
So I do understand what you're going through. I just wonder if you are continuing to work out if you need to take those calories even higher. I know what a scary thought that is - I originally thought I'd be maintaining around 1400 calories and every step up from there has been terrifying for me.
