Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 11/8
Good morning! Back at work this morning after a day off during which I slept in, then got up and was so much of a slug most of the day that I might has well have stayed in bed. I'm serious - lazy does not begin to describe it! Can't imagine doing it every day, but for one day it was marvelous.
Today's weight: 137.6, a new low for me. I know I keep saying this, but every time I up my calories, my body seems to adjust. Not sure what it's going to take to break this pattern.
Tonight my husband and I will close on a piece of land. We'd already bought a lot of 0.63 acres, which is small but it backs up onto a 23,000 acre wildlife management area so it has a heckuva backyard. Since hubs got his job we decided to make an offer on the empty lot next to ours and the owners accepted. It's 0.53 acres so that will give us 1.16 total. We'll put the septic on the new lot, which will give us a lot more room to put our house where we want on the original lot.
We'll start building hubs work-shop over the winter into spring and our retirement home in 2014 or 2015. It'll be a small, simple house as we want to have it paid off by the time we retire in about 15 years.

Sounds perfect to me! I'd love to find a place that butts up to protected park land- no chance anyone can develop it.
138 on the nose this am, my day off. I'm kind of liking this 4day work week- just when I've had enough of 10+ hr days, I have a day off, then work Friday, then 2 off. Let's me get stuff done. Sleeping in till 8 was WONDERFUL too. My normal hours have me up by 5:15 at the latest.
It has been a little easier to get up at 5:00 AM since the time change. Not a lot easier (I'm not a morning person) but a little.
We have some folks here who do a four-days, 10-hours schedule and I'm incredibly jealous!

166.6 - on a 3 week stall now. I should be used to this because it is my normal pattern of losing.
This is not unusual for me but considering the amount of exercise I am getting it is discouraging and not making progress towards that normal BMI is making me crabby today. There seems to be some correlation to my meds contributing to this, but just can't justify another break from tamoxifen for this. I will just have to figure a way to work through it and realize that I may have to cut calories back more than I have been in order to get to goal. I am borderline obsessing over exercise because of this as well - not where I want to be.
Maybe yoga class today will help me to release some of the exercise obsession induced stress. I have a 3 mile run on my own scheduled for tonight as well.
Too much exercise may be working against you. Just for fun, can you try taking a few days off and seeing if your stall breaks? I've seen that over and over again.

Sounds lovely! We have 3 acres, now, but we had 5 in CA that backed up to a park and wildlife preserve. It's bliss, trust me.
126.4 Today - a new low.
I've settled in at 1000-1200 calories a day as I push to my 'stretch' goal.. I haven't been hungry and it's easy for me to eat less than 1000 calories. Unfortunately, I was getting light-headed; so, I upped my calories a bit. I have been keeping my carbs quite low - under 40g per day, though, and protein high.
