Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 11/1

Good morning!

Today's weight: 140.0

All sorts of news this fine Thursday morning.

First, hubs got the job. Turns out they'd fired the previous guy Monday morning as he sat in jail over the whole assaulting a police officer and domestic violence thing. Tom (hubs) walked in Monday morning to talk to them about Hurricane Sandy stuff, found out about it, applied, they took his application, sent in for a background check, and hired him. So far as we can tell they didn't publicize the job or take any other applications. He goes in and fills out W-4s and such paperwork today and starts on Monday.

Second for my fellow icicles, I ordered one of these heaters and it is AWESOME. It's only 200 watts, so it heats just an immediate space, not a whole room but it also won't blow your breakers. I have mine on my desktop and plan to order another for under my desk to warm my legs. Seriously folks. It's an amazing little thing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XDTWN2/ref=oh_details_o 00_s00_i00

Awesome news about hubs. Give him our congratulations! I know it must be a huge relief for the both of you.

181.0 this morning.

Gave out candy last night. It was a blast. The funny thing was the number of neighbors who I had never met introducing themselves by noting how they had seen me walking and exercising and how much I have lost just while living here since January. It was really cool and a good inspiration for keeping my hand out of the Candy bucket!

Mom - so happy to hear about your husband. Sounds like the perfect fit! I am expecting to join this group soon - 10.8 pounds from goal. When I am at 10, I hope to be "accepted" as a member in this club.

Great to hear that your hubby got the job Mom.

166.2 today.

I will be away now until at least November 9th.  I won't have a scale with me, so its a little scary.  I hope to do well, and not gain any weight.

Congratulations on the new job!  Well done.

BAD, BAD eating day yesterday. BAD. The worst.     Came down with one of those colds that just hit like a bolt out of the blue and for some reason could not stop stuffing my face.

Today is a new day.  Am at home sniffing and sneezing and feeling punk.  But am going to try and reconcile just what the problem was/is that went off base so badly.

I live on the west coast so can't use the fear of Sandy as an excuse.

Comfort. If you're like me, you were eating for comfort. And yeah it's pointless to eat for comfort when you're sick but when was our emotional eating ever logical.

Feel better!
