Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 10/21

It used to really bother me. I have to do a lot more planning because when all I can eat is 28 almonds (1 serving) and I'm full to the point of sometimes not being able to finish them, I have to be extremely mindful of the snack monster.

Also, when we go out to eat and I'm sitting in front of crab legs knowing I will only eat one damn legs and I'll be full to bursting, I get kind of pissed. I know I can take the extras home and I always do, but it gets a little frustrating. Even simple stuff like going to my favorite burger joint, getting a hamburger (no bun) and feeling full after 2 bites makes me mad. I put mustard and pickles on the damn thing I can only eat 1/2 of a cooked 3 oz burger?

I think it is sort of a blessing and sort of a curse. At first, I kept waiting to be able to eat veggies with my meals and now have yet to get more than 2 broccoli florets in with the meat.

I think the snack monster is the hardest thing. The small capacity really lends itself to snacking.

This is exactly me. I am still unable to eat more than 1/4 cup of solid food at 18 months. My shakes seem to go through faster, but still I have to drink them slowly and they fill me up for quite some time.

Right now, given my height (5'8") I am having to eat 7 or 8 times a day to avoid regain. On days when I hike, I typically eat a small snack every hour during the hike to increase my calories.

It is a little bit of work, but it is huge knowing that if I switch to even slightly denser foods I can drop my calories in a heartbeat without feeling deprived. I actually on balance love that my sleeve is so small because it gives me hope for long term.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Thank you for replying.  I love hearing it it's working for you, because I was worried that my friend just didn't want me to worry about her and didn't complain because of this.  She too said that it was fine with her.

Had a few drinks last night and some good food with friends and DH. Glad I worked out earlier that day!
