Got those extra pounds off

I lost the extra 7 lb that I had gained.  It came off rather easily to my delight.  I stayed on program about 85% of the time, but did indulge in a treat or 2.

Trying to get my DH to lose about 10 lb in the next 3 weeks so  we can take a helicopter tour while in Hawaii. Not sure he can do it. He is a carb addict. I told him it won't be easy, but if he cuts bread, potatoes and sugar, he should be able reach his goal. Day 1 down and he seems pretty antsy.  He did make some homemade vegetable beef soup today without potatoes.  It was delicious!  We stocked up on fruits and veggies last night.  I told him when he wants something sweet to throw an apple in the microwave with a little Splenda brown sugar.  Yummo!

Three weeks until we leave for our trip.  I'm getting very excited!

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Congratulations! Hope you have a marvelous time in Hawaii!

Doesn't it feel odd to NOT be the one whose weight is an issue for the helicopter tour?

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

We wouldn't be going!  I'm just happy I can get on the plane with no extender for the seat belt.  I'm going snorkeling and would never even consider doing something like that before WLS.  I'll be checking off something else on my bucket list once that is done....well 2 things..snorkeling AND Hawaii!   The helicopter will be a 3rd but only if he loses enough weight.    If  he doesn't lose at least 10 lb we won't be going either, because if you weigh over 250, you have to pay double.  It's almost $600 a piece, so $1200 for him is out of the question!!!  He's at 253 naked, so I'm insisting that he get below 250 with clothes and shoes ON, since he won't be boarding the chopper naked. lol
