Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Wednesday 10/17
Today's weight: 138.6
Thanks to everyone *****plied to my informal poll posting yesterday. I have decided to carefully, cautiously attempt to get myself back up to 145 with a goal range of 145-150. For those who were concerned, I promise I have no intention of doing this with ice cream and cookies and junk, oh my! If that's the only way I can do it, I won't do it. I looked at my weight history and it took me just over 3 months to lose the last 7 pounds. I'll probably try to gain them back at least as slowly.
Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
Funny how different we all are. I'm still losing a pound a month and never struggled with the last few pounds. I feel like I should gain but I am going to add muscle instead.

I had issues sleeping and it took me months to figure out that it was stomach acid making me toss and turn. I upped my nexium to an additional 40 mg before bed and now I sleep through the night.
Just something to consider.

Worked out the problem with my leg yesterday but still not convinced that my knee is altogether happy. I know that I have a torn meniscus because of a MRI I had 3 years ago, but overall it is asymptomatic, just a little loosey-goosey. Hoping I don't start having problems with it because I really want to keep running in my portfolio of exercises (I never intend to do long distances). Today's workout is 50 minute spin class and possibly a run after work if the husband wants.

Its hump-day and my first day back at work. 180 unread e-mails - Boo!
I am still trying to work back up to my pre-op walking routines. I get a few thousand steps in and the swelling becomes really uncomfortable. I can already see the new shapes taking form underneath the swelling. I am going to be really happy with the final result. I really wish this re-vascularization would hurry up and get this excess fluid out, LOL! Dang it - I have new pants to buy and want to know what size to get - LOL.
Seriously, I am applying all of the lessons I learned during my sleeve and working back up to goal by going just a little bit farther every day. Got my last drain out on Monday and went to group. That was really nice. Looking forward to just feeling like me again.
