Having another surgery but this time on my nerve from tummy tuck
Hello all. I had a TT a year ago. I am happy I did have this surgery. But at six months out I developed pain on my in cession. I was told it is scar tissue messing with my nerve so they have to go in and remove the scar tissue and cut the nerve. It is outpatient surgery. But I will be cut from hip to hip again. Other than this I am feeling great still working out and eating right most of the time. Some times I eat something that is not on the healthy side but than I go and burn it off. Not gaining as long as I watch it and work out.
Hi Valerie,
I'm glad that you're going to be taken care of so that you won't be in pain from the incision line any longer. I just want to issue a tiny word of caution, from one that has had two plastics operations within 9 months. Recovery is being tough for me this time around because over the spring and summer I was extremely active, hiking daily. Now I'm almost three weeks post op (arm and thigh revision) and I'm sitting on my tush most of the day. Activity is limited to avoid a seroma that I got in December from recurring. I found that while hiking I could eat additional calories. Now that I'm sedentary, I have to be much more careful because I can't go burn off anything more carby that I choose to eat. I ate low carb before my surgery three weeks ago, got a little off track in Mexico but now have to pull it back in. I'm antsy and want to exercise. Being bored really has me wanting to eat "just a little something". It's an ugly trap that I just wanted to remind you of. I'm sure you remember the recovery period from when you initially had your TT.
Good luck with this revision!
