First I doubted my ability to lose, now I doubt my ability to maintain...

Just reading on some of the other threads calorie amounts, etc. I am soooo not even close to those numbers. My restriction is still pretty tight, even tighter at the moment considering I had a surgery induced 5 day pouch test that turned into 14 days.

If I pu**** to the point of forcing myself to eat just because I need to, and eating until very full, I can maybe get in 800 calories a day. That's including 320 calories from 2 protein bars that I force in to up my protein.

I eat Greek yogurt at least once a day, usually with some fresh fruit, and then some dense protein, chicken more often then not, and a bite or two of veggies if there's room.

No white carbs generally. I get what I do eat from fruit, yogurt and protein bars. Am I going to have to up this area to get the calories in? Perhaps some pasta with the chicken? I worry about that cutting down the amount of protein I get in because that's always been a big struggle for me as I can't do shakes (make me horribly nauseas). I struggle to get 50 gms of protein a day (dr. Says this is okay for now as my protein levels are okay on my blood tests).

So how do you manage to get those 12-18-2000 calories a day? I realize exercise, which I'm not able to do for the moment will increase appetite, but even so, I can't imagine doubling my intake. It seems impossible.

Since your restriction is still tight, try high-calorie, low volume foods.  Guacamole (avocado in general), nuts, peanut butter.  Use regular butter, regular full-fat Greek yogurt, full-fat or 2% milk.  Eat the skin when you get a rotisserie chicken.  Have some bacon.  Okay, so I guess my message is to add some fat!

But is there some reason why you feel the need to up your calories?  Are you trying to stop losing?  Or just feel like you've been super lo-cal long enough?

Man I feel your pain.  I am still very restricted at almost 4 years out and if I'm not careful can easily drop to the 1000 calorie range.  But I don't want that at all so I turn to (shhh, don't tell anyone) candy and stuff that most people on here would consider big no no's.  I really have no choice.  All of my Doctors have warned me against losing more weight.  Not that my BMI is in  a danger zone but my body fat level is on the low side.  Like today I have been to the gym for a 2 hour workout and I have only gotten in 340 calories and it's 1:30ish and I'm FULL!  I seem to stay full for a long time.

I too struggle with protein but usually have a shake and a quest bar everyday.  That gets me 55 gms or so but then I struggle to get 50 more from food.  It's my cross to bear I guess.  I try not to complain because I look great and am finally healthy, but it is a chore.

Yes, I'm still losing and I think I was done at the 135-140 range.

I've just had surgery so I'm sure that's part of the continued weightloss, and I keep thinking, why am I complaining, someday I'm going to wish for this kind of restriction again, lol. I guess just the "bag of bones, you don't want to look sick, etc." comments are starting to get to me.
