Hi all! Well I survived! Thanks for all the lve good thoughts! A week in I'm mobbing around, my boobs are in good shape literally and figuratively. It's a beautiful fall day and I'm determined to go out.

A scary after-effect and apparently very uncommon is that I have significant hearing loss in my right ear. Will start prednisone tomorrow. Really freaking out. Also, of all things, I'm worried about gaining weight because of the sterols. Least of my problems!

Sending love and good thoughts, especially the rest of the post-surgery gang!

(((((((((hugs)))))

Glad that you survived and well on the road to healing, but how in the world did you lose hearing in your ear?

Oh, I seriously hope that passes!! Losing a sense is probably the biggest freak-out inducing thing I've been through, I can only imagine. I had lost my sense of smell after a pretty vicious URI and even though my sinuses were clear the entire time- I had no sense of smell, therefore no taste either. A double steroid pack brought it back, but it was a couple weeks of depressive hell on me thinking it was gone for good.

Hang in there and hope the hearing comes back soon!

I had the same problem with both C-Sections.  They blamed it on anistesia.  But no problem when getting the sleeve in MX.  It will pass right?

Congratulations on the new boobs!  Super envious!!!  Wish I had the $$$ to do it too.

Congrats on being a week post op. don't give another thought to the steroids because it won't be fat weigh. I gained 16 pounds two weeks ago with plastics. Just fluids, not real. But it's tough o not allow the scale to influence us!

Thanks guys! Yeah apparently the surgeon had never had this complication before either. Glad to hear (lol) hat the hearing could come back! I'm feeling way better toda, got my drains out (sooooo gross), in the sower, a real look at the new boob (freaky) etc so staarting to feel more human. Not going to stress about the weight for a while. They weighed me at the doc's office today and I seem to have lost5 lbs? Could that be all boobs???

Will keep you posted. Can drive as soon as I'm off pain meds! Xxx
