Good morning everyone:
What a delicious topic to even be thinking about. Certainly could not even begin to think about any size other than 3X just a while ago. The strategy was: if it fits Yahoo....... no matter what the colour or style.
Will be away for two weeks. Will do my very best to eat well and within my self-imposed limits. Will also do my best to get in exercise.
Enjoy the day everyone.
All the best for the plastic surgery tomorrow.

136.0 this morning.
I am wearing smalls top and bottom--however, I finally gave away my work clothes from 20 years ago and when I tried them on, the 10 I was wearing then fit fine but has become a 6 in today's sizes...I thought I was so much smaller than I was then but no...it's the vanity sizing. I also support finding a tailor and altering the clothes--I have to let down the hems on most pants if I want to wear any sort of heel.
Rob, I wish you a speedy recovery and I hope all goes well tomorrow.

I am 103. 4 this morning. As far as the sizing goes, I can wear petite XS at Nordstoms, but I buy most of my jeans in their Children's department. I wear a size 12 Children's. I know how crazy this sounds. When I feel like splurging, I buy couture clothes, anything from Europe or Asia fits me perfectly, and I am not even the smallest size in the high end clothes, but American clothes, don't fit at all.
140.3, on my way down, yea!
Mom, on the sizing.. I just try to ignore much of it since it makes NO SENSE and has no meaning to me anymore since vanity sizing is the norm now. I shop a lot of high end thrift/consignment since I'm a cheap-butt but have a new-found love of nice clothes.. and depending on whether something is current or a few years old will make a difference in sizing.. I've been debating heading to Nordstroms just to try on stuff so I can get a real "today" size idea.. but I'm afraid to, since I'd fall in love with something there and want to get it but I refuse to pay $$$ for it.
But, I'm not a shorter person- just med, 5'6.5"/7" depending on the day it seems.. and I wear a small top usually. My underbust rib-cage measurement is a titch under 31" (not "band" size.. bras are a whole 'nother animal to measure so I found out..) I wear small tops in some designers, mediums in others.. One designers sz6 dress will fit me great, another I can just zip up an 8, and other 8's hang on me! I am by no means overly thin, and still see room for a little more to go.. so this will still shift for me, joy... and if I ever get plastics.. that would change so much more..
Height has nothing to do with size, you can be a tall person and wear a size 2 if your bone structure is that size.. or a size 8, and still be the right "size" just depending on frame. If you are like me and are built narrow up top, but wider down below.. well.. that makes for some fun times trying to balance out things so you don't look so hippy. Push up bras are my friends, even if I have to sometimes tape myself into them!
This goes for men too.. my husband is 6' and has a bmi of about 20, since he usually weighs around 146-150.. that's just him. He's got a super-thin frame naturally.. joint measurements, everything.. he can wrap his fingers around his wrist and cross over to the knuckles on both ends! He's just very long, and thin built, but BF% he's still in the healthy 13-14% range.. so not underweight at all. Clothing sizing for him sucks.. he has a really hard time buying jeans as he normally takes a 30x34. It seems NO one around here wears that size.. so when he finds them, he buys several pairs. Thankfully we just found a men's only consignment shop.. and it seems they have a lot of stuff that works.. except jeans.

171.2
Still doing the up and down bounce, but I checked and for the last two months I've been between 170 & 172 on my weekly weighs, so the daily fluctuations aren't an issue - except mentally! LOL.
I've gone from one hard to find size to another. I'm short for a guy - 5'7". I'm heavily built but can easily fit into men's small and medium shirts depending on the cut. Most tee shirts are smalls and button down collared shirts are medium, but in slim fit. Dress shirts I'm a normal, easy to find size which is good.
Pants are an issue unto themselves! What little height I have is in my torso. My legs are short and it ain't too easy to find 29 to 31 inch waist jeans or pants with a short inseam of 29 or 30. That's usually the smallest size for men (30X30) and it's WAY HARD to find. I just seem to have to get everything tailored - even my new shorts this year had to be shortened!
A year ago I never envisioned being smaller than a size large. I'm often still in awe of this whole process.
