Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday 10/1

Good morning!

Well hubs and I are really a pair. He's still recovering from cracked ribs, and I took a hard fall while hiking yesterday. Did something to my left shoulder (bruised and can't move arm above shoulder height), took all the skin off my right outer forearm, deep cut in my right index finger (swear I thought I was going to bleed out) and badly aggravated the arthritis in my right knee and hip. Walking around like Lurch favoring my right hand and left arm - makes me pretty useless.

So of course I had a flat tire this morning, when neither of us was in a condidtion to change it. Luckily hubs has done any number of home repair favors for teenage daughter's boyfriend's family so he and his dad came over and changed the tire. Not a great start to the week.

OUCH!  Mom, be careful!  That sounds really painful.

 

Things will only get better - things happen in three's they say - so hopefully you're safe for a while!

 

I had family start arriving.  My parents came in Saturday and my sister is coming today.  I made the cake for them Saturday night and we had their birthday celebration yesterday.  I had a piece of cake - delicious and subtle.  Now they just need to eat the rest of it!

Started my skin prep for surgery!  Almost here!

Ouch!! Sounds like you and hubs are having a rough go of it.  Things can only improve from here!!

170.2 down a bit from Friday - my guess is that I will stick around this weight for awhile if history has anything to do with it

3 mile run last night and 30 min. interval training today.

And an especial hello to the lame and injured.  OUCH.

Up another pound. Two above goal.  Too much salt and not enough water at a pot luck yesterday. ( yeah, yeah, blame it on the dishes that were just sitting there.  Guess who put fork to mouth. )

There's a reason I exercise on pavement outdoors--I am the world's greatest klutz due to my MS and I would be falling down all the time if I hiked the way you do, Mom. As it is, I have tripped a couple of times over my own feet and banged myself up. I am hoping you feel better soon.

omg mom, no fun. thats what AAA is for. I have never changed a tire in my life. Hope the week gets better for you.

121 today. sunny and beautiful and feeling good.

And hubby Shrinking Nerd hit onederland today. His all time high was 380. Not bad.   diane
