Gas and bloating, mostly. Didn't even realize it was the dairy because I didn't have classic lactose intolerance symptoms, but within 36 hours after cutting the dairy it all turned around quickly.

Up a bit this morning. Had an intense workout yesterday and that always seems to add some water weight, but honestly I had a HORRIBLE carb day yesterday, too. I had a small cookie at lunch and that opened the bottomless-pit monster's door. So, I did not succumb to the carb cravings completely - had 130 for the day (but that's still very high for me) and I did eat more almonds than I normally allow myself and I felt munchy all night long! So a bit of salt and workout weight today. Paying the price for straying off my daily plan. Back on track today.

I'm 5' 6". The surgeon who did the information session about WLS surgery made the statement that he would be considered overweight. He looked great - fit & muscular. He said he felt good, had good numbers (blood pressure, etc), was active and could do all he wanted to do including standing long hours and doing surgery. The least I ever weighed as an adult was about 160 lbs. I've had 3 babies and I'm 40 years older. For me I feel good, my numbers are good and I am happy. This what I wanted from my surgery so this is where I will stay. For me this is a great blessing! Hopes this helps.

Thank you Sandra - it does help. I didn't remember my surgeon or his NP ever setting a goal weight, so I recently emailed to check. She told me that their primary concern is to get us out of the obese category, which didn't seem a very satisfactory answer to me. They have been superb with everything else. I feel really good now, although a few more pounds might give me a little cushion, but I agree - this is a total blessing at this age and I could not be happier with my decision. I am wearing a size 14 and part of me says keep going - try for a 12 - but then I say why? All my numbers are excellent as well. Thank you for your response.
