Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 9/27

Good morning! I'm hating how dark it is in the mornings now. When does the time change??

Today's weight: 140.00 and glad to get back out of the 130's.

Today marks one month since I eliminated dairy and converted to a strictly plant-based diet. I am still getting over 100 grams of protein a day and I feel great. I hadn't realized how badly my body was tolerating the dairy until I eliminated it.

The other great thing is that it seems to me that my body is absorbing these calories better. I had been struggling to get enough calories in. My calories have gone down slightly but my weight is remaining stable.

Stop reading now if you aren't in the mood for TMI this morning. OK, the other great thing is that for the first time since surgery, I am completely off any artificial anti-constipation treatment. I had been taking Colace and/or Miralax every day since surgery; weaned myself off it last week. Myfitnesspal says I'm hitting at least 40 grams of fiber a day without even trying; often hitting 50.

Anyway, I know it's not for most people, but I thought I'd give a full report: it is possible to eat vegan with a sleeve.

Good morning everyone. I am at 177lbs. I have been at this weight for about two months now and seem to be doing great at maintaining it. I go from 177 to 178 but I am happy with those numbers. According to the national charts, I am still overweight by 4lbs, but I honestly do not want to drop any more weight.

182.2

it is nice being regular without assistance!

The time change isn't until November now - it got pushed out a few weeks during the Bush admin, but only took effect a couple of years ago.  DST is now March through November.

135.5. Up a pound and a half in one day. Must be water, so I'm not upset.

Thanks, Diane, for yesterday's reminder that in a year or so I may be very glad that I am under goal. I can't gain too much back or all my new clothes won't fit, and I love my new clothes.

Thank you for yesterday's posts about maintenance. Excellent words all round.

Today is the day I have reached goal!   It has taken 13 months to lose 141 pounds.

The last two pounds took nearly three weeks to shake themselves free.

And now the hard part begins.    Weighing daily and keeping track of food and exercise.

Thanks again for all the wise words.

Have a good day everyone.

Woohoo! Congratulations. You've done great.

Maintenance is a mind-game, especially the transition. Folks here have been great to help me through it.
