Gain and panic!

I'm in the same boat as well.

As soon as I go off program the weight creeps back up. I hit 207 pounds last week. Thankfully it's starting to come back off. But I'm back to eating about 600 - 900 calories a day to get there.

I'm back in my range but at the high end which still concerns me. I would like to loose another 4 pounds. That would put me at ease. But these last 4 pounds are very stubborn. To top it off I feel a cold coming on so I may not make it. Usually during a cold I consume a bit more.

I've been doing the daily weigh ins to keep my self accountable.

Maintenance is so much harder than I thought it would be!  And losing these pounds seems harder than when I was still in the losing stage.  I would think my brain would just go back to program, but it wants to go back to my old ways  It's very frustrating!  The last thing I want to do is gain my weight back.  I'm determined to get these pounds off again - and soon!

Good luck, Mikey.  You have done so well.  I don't think I could go back to calories that low.  I am cutting back to about 1200 and increasing my exercise again.  Hopefully that will do it.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I wrote about this last week. My range has gone from 141-143 up to 142-144. That would sound so obsessive to my former 249.8 self, but I've worked too hard to get here.  Winter rains are coming and I won't be hiking 5-8 miles a day anymore, plus I'm having plastics on Thursday and won't exercise for at least 8 weeks.

So it all comes down to the food.  That's something in my control.  Nobody holds me down and tells me I have to eat that Quest bar.  My eats are good and healthy but I know I gain at 1100 calories if I'm not doing massive exercise.

We are all in this together.

I'm right there with you guys too! I gained 6 pounds at the beginning of the summer after I ran my 1/2 marathon. I didn't cut back my calories when I quit my long training runs. I've gotten 3 of the lbs off, but it's been a VERY slow process!
