Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Monday, 9/17
Today's weight: 141.8
This from the "I will never understand my body" files. Yesterday I hiked over 12 miles in mountain terrain. Burned 1831 calories by my heart rate monitor. Net calories: 207. Weight gained: a pound. I always gain after a big hike. Makes no sense.
And this from the "It bears repeating" files: I'm happy to post this every day, but I don't feel like it's in any way "my" thread. If you come in and are ready to post your weight and I'm running late, or you're running early or whatever...please, please, please feel free to just throw the thread up. Not only will I not be offended but it takes a great deal of pressure off me to know that if something does come up (like my "don't even think of looking at a computer" headache of Saturday morning) the thread will somehow end up getting posted anyway.

Final consult for my plastics today! Yay! T-15 days and counting.
Wound up trying to run yesterday, only made it 2 miles before I had to stop for my hip. Those hills killed it. Then yard work and a walk with DH.

You may need to take a long break.. like the time leading up to your plastics, and post-op recovery for that muscle to heal.. all you are doing by trying runs, and having to stop due to pain is re-damaging that thing.. rest dude! Find something upper-body to do and challenge yourself with in the interim that doesn't involve pounding your hip.
This is all said in a caring voice, from someone very stubborn like yourself.. I hate, HATE being hurt.. and it ****** me off to no end when something acts up and prevents me from doing what I want to do..

I had thought it was fine, no pain or soreness for a couple of days. I guess I will have to figure a way to do some water exercises.

Today is get the piles of clothes in the bedroom that have been living on the dresser and in bags (don't judge.. I have no space at all in this dinky joint) put away someplace.. My dear husband even got a stainless rolling garment rack (complete with shoe rack!) put together for me in the compy/treadmill room.. so I can hang my clothes for the week up.. or use as overflow for my closet. We are brainstorming to figure out a way to utilize the space we have better..
