VSG on 05/31/11 with
128.5 for a third day in a row.

Haven't checked in for the last couple days, but life has just gotten crazy. Semester is starting to pick up so most of my time is devoted to reading, writing papers and preparing presentations (speech communications major = LOTS of presentations)

I am finally starting to feel better as well, the double dose of z-pak is finally starting to get rid of my "plague"! Yesterday was the last official dose but it stays in your system for another 5 days after you take it, so this crud should be history!

186.0 Second day in a row!

I hate snakes!  I once was overdosed on medication as a child and hallucinated snakes covering everything, anything that touched me was a snake bite.  Talk about bad trips!  My parents live in south Alabama - covered in poisonous reptiles!  I once shot a snake inside my neighbors pool skimmer.  Try explaining to your neighbors why you went dirty harry on a skimmer basket while pool sitting!

I have been having intermittent pain in my hip from that started during my run on Sunday.  No running for me today.  I think its either a muscle strain or tendonitis.  An ice pack on it yesterday did nothing but make my hip cold!  Its only sore when moving the joint so I don't think its a stress fracture or anything like that.  Any advice from runners on dealing with these kinds of things?

I appreciate snakes, but still.. outside, thanks!

139.5 today, on a nosedive apparently. Past exp says this does not last, and will come back up a bit.. just trying to wrap my head around myself.. but that's another post!

135.5 this morning, steady again.

Lots of rattlesnakes here in N CA, but not so much now, it's getting too cold for them, but midsummer they are everywhere. I don't mind them.

Rob, when I was running a lot in my younger years I took NSAIDS for pain and inflammation and did yoga for flexibility. My hip flexors were always tight and if I didn't stretch them each day I felt the difference.

Thanks!  My exercise physiologist got back to me and said it was probably a hip flexor strain.  I guess I got lax with my stretching before running.  Gotta pay more attention to that!
