Congratulations. I had a breast lift and extended tummy tuck 2 months ago. One of the best things I ever did. I thought it was going to be horrendously painful and because of that it was not so bad. Depends on how you look at it. My doctor didn't give me a pain pump but instead a pain injection during surgery that lasts for several days. I think that and the Percocet got me through just fine. I had two drains for about a week but not much in them. This surgery is fantastic instant gratification! You come out seeing amazing results immediately and that is great motivation to push through any pain. Very exciting!

thanks you guys!!!  i am freaked out by the drain -- not even sure what one is even though i asked the surgeon.  i think she said she would take it out before i left the hospital (23 hr admission).  i am scared and i hate pain, but i think living on painkillers for a week will probably be okay.  i'm taking 2 wks off (per doc b/c of tummy surgery).  i figure it can't be as awful ans having 80 percent of a organ removed!

holy crap!  it's in like 3 weeks!  OMG.  i did find out about the flexible spending thing: can't use it for the tummy tuck b/c it's purely cosmetic, could use it to help pay whatever's left after insurance pays for the boob job.  ins is paying for that b/c (i think, the surgery coordinator didn't tell me) i have this weird floating lump thing in one breast after a car accudebt a few tears ago.  Maybe??!?!  just glad it's covered!

will keep you posted and Rob -- i expect updates from you too!

I had my boobs done in July.  It was a SHOCK coming out and seeing something so perky and small on my chest!  I'm still a D cup down from an F and they face forward, even up a little!  My husband calls them my porn star boobs.  Recovery really wasn't too bad for that at all, I would expect most of your pain will be from the TT.  It's amazing how many times we contract those muscles and don't even think about it.  Congrats on the surgery and have a GREAT recovery.
