Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday 9/11
Today's weight 140.2.
Up a pound today which is odd but not a bad thing. It's not in my ankles, they are still holding at normal and zero puff, but I'm still thinking a hydration difference. I'd like to keep it above 140 if I can.
Well, I have now officially gone strict vegetarian - no egg or dairy. I'm not calling myself vegan because there's a whole culture and lifestyle investment around that I find intimidating and don't want to get drawn into. The hardest thing, given my protein absorption issues, was finding a good complete, digestible and still enjoyable vegan protein powder (most of them taste like cardboard and won't blend). Finally found one, Sunwarrior Raw Vegan brown rice protein.
Sort of a somber day today. Planning to avoid Facebook with all the hyper-patriotism, and photoshopped pictures of crying eagles or dusty fireman with "share if you care" sayings; or the news with countless replays of the towers falling and politicians using the anniversary of 9/11 for their own benefit. I don't need any of that to help me remember. I doubt I could forget if I wanted to.

Ran again this morning - but still taking it easy.
I hear you about 9/11. I lived in CT that day, from Hartford we could see the smoke plumes. My secretary was a native New Yorker who had 3 brothers working in the towers. I'll never forget how terrified and shaken she was. Luckily for her family all three were either not at work or running late that day. So many others were not as lucky.

Up but sodium is the culprit. Not complanning. Below 120 is not good for my taste.

Wow, horrible English and punctuation throughout that post. I will use the fact im posting from my phone as an excuse.
My main foods are in this order:
Veggies
Nuts & seeds
Soy yogurt
Whole grains
Fruit
I allow myself up to 150 grams of carbs a day as long as at least 30 of them are fiber. I still try to avoid simple sugars and starchy foods. For whole grains think things like steel cut oats or a whole food bar (love me some Vega bars, but they're pricey!)

My problem with yams: I hate to cook. My idea of cooking is throwing a salad together or putting a bag of 16-bean soup starter and some spices in a crock pot.
Soy yogurt! For the most part I try to avoid soy except soy yogurt and vegan protein bars. Most of my complex carbs are grains. I loooove grains, so I have just become extremely picky about the products I choose.
