All together now: "Happy, get some new pants!"

OK, not very original. But I hated baggy pants - could work with loose shirts but baggy pants, uh-uh. If that's triggery for you, get some pants that fit.

At this point, it really is a bit of a mind game. Hang in there!

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

I have to tell you, you look great.  You look like you were born to be that size.

I've put the offensive pants in the pile for Goodwill.  I'm going to get a good night's sleep and where something well-fitting tomorrow.  Thank you so much.

Happy - you are my mentor, even though you don't know it. I am just behind you, probably 15 pounds from goal and it is a little scary. I can't remember being at this low a weight for 30 years or more. It feels good physically, the compliments mostly feel good, but it is so much more about our heads now than ever before. I am so proud of all you have done and accomplished, but  ...

BUY SOME NEW PANTS!

Aw, shucks, Judy!  You're too kind.  I couldn't have done it without you guys.  I need the fellowship of like-minded people to keep me focused!  I promise to go shopping this weekend!

I remember deciding to try on some size 16s to just see how close I was to being able to wear them.  How shocked I was when they fit!  I actually cried in the store I was so overwhelmed by it all.

Now, I fluctuate between 8s and 10s, dependent upon how they are made.  I can't stand it when I need to buy a 10! LOL

I have found that maintenance is harder than losing.  I swear, the minute I hit goal, my feeble brain went right to ""Well you're done now so you don't have to do this anymore".  WRONG!!  It was very hard to make myself continue to do what's right.  I still struggle at times and when I see the scale go up 5 lb, I panic.

I'm going to guess that you will continue to lose well below your goal - if you continue to do what you have been doing.  I set my goal at 159 and got to 141 just by not changing anything once I hit 159.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I am so tickled for you...I think you should do the "Happy" Dance in the dressing room with your new snug britches on....  Just like everyone else said, it's ok to freak, we all do it, you've got this with your new tools.  It IS different this time and ANYTHING is possible.  Keep smiling Happy!  Can't wait so see your GOAL post...
