Happy, get new pants!  You have this, and you are going to eventually feel in control of this process.  That is the ultimate goal and you are on your way there.  You are going to find out that many of the things that you thought of as "broken" about yourself, have been fixed when you were not looking and you are much more functional and in control of this than you ever thought possible.  I know that this is your eventual path, you are walking it beautifully and you are closer than you think.  :)

Thank you for your confidence in me, Elina!  I am not quite a 10 yet, but I am going to try for some snugger pants.

I don't know why it has seemed so hard today.  Thank you.

Please go get a few new clothes! I have found that it helps my mind adjust if I buy a smaller size and fit in it.

I am also the smallest I have ever been and have to keep reminding myself that I'm not going to start piling on weight ever again if I eat mindfully and keep exercising. It's kind of a wild ride, this weight loss, isn't it?

I went to the Goodwill at lunch and their size 10s were too small.  Sizes just suck, especially in used clothes that are from all different years.  That got me a little down, so I just decided to go back to work and not worry about it for a while.

Such a head trip!!

Oh, how wonderful that you are so close! I know you have this. You know you have this. It's just your "monkey"!

Time for some new pants. don't wear the baggy ones. Too much at stake in so many ways wearing clothes that are too big. I have donated all my loose fitting clothes to charity - even the newer ones. I find that it messed with my head to wear clothes that were even a size too large.

I figure I worked so hard to get here, no sense in messing it up because my stupid head gets in the way.

I was feeling really weird as I approached goal myself. I have been told again and again how normal that is. WL we know how to do. Maintaining-not so much!

Like Elina said, it's about a new set of tools. I'm still learning and look to the vets very often to help me through. This part is far scarier to me than the weight loss was!

I got rid of the 14s, I'm just feeling scared and nervous and weird for feeling scared.  Oh well!  I just want to keep on going and see what happens.  Hugs to you!

I so get it! That feeling is very fresh for me still. I was a bit of a basket case right before I hit my "goal". I still am having issues now and again about my weight, regain fears, etc.... I think what you are experiencing is a normal part of the process for us. It's so different from losing weight in the past. I'm beginning to believe this uneasiness is actually a very good thing.

BTW, you look incredible in your new Avi! So slim and pretty!

hey congrats Happy. its so great to be this close. you are gonna do it I know it!

and let me be about the 10th person to tell you to go get a nice slim pair of size 10 pants or whatever fits snuggly.

i can tell you that when i got to goal i spent a huge amout of time obsessing with fear i was going to regain the weight . and its to be expected because we all have lost weight and regained before. but this is different as we have our wonderful sleeves. so its normal to worry but as time goes by it will  be less and less.

so my advice is to go for the gold, get those last seven off even if it takes months, get those skinny pants and toss the baggy ones. . I am taking a big load to the thrift store today for both me and hubby.

it can take awhile for your mind to catch up with your body but the longer you live at a normal weight the easier it becomes. I used to flip out about every half pound fluctuation. doctor told me "fahgedddaboudit" so i am trying.

i bet you are the type of person who is not afraid of challenges in life and be not afraid of this one. I am absolutely certain you will get to goal and maintain. you have what it takes.   diane

Thank you Diane!  I got some 10s at the Goodwill - too small - so I'm going to find the smallest pair in the closet for tomorrow.  I am not going to stop - I'm not going to "stop" even when I get to 160.  I'm just going to keep on keeping on and see what happens.  Nobody understand like you guys!
