So maybe there is something to this exercise thing. You all know that I hate it and have done as little of it as possible throughout my life. But I was told I had some bone thinning and better get after it. And then got lectured big time by Dr. Guru. Also inspired by Elina as she hates it too.

So i started with an old people's weight class and then started doing P90 (which we got two years ago and never opened) and guess what, its not so bad. I can do most of it.

Here's the big thing. I get clay ib 25 lb bags. Used to be I could barely get it to the car. Today I got some and it seemed easier. Could it be I am getting a muscle or two?

Anyway P90 is pretty good for us couch potatoes.   Diane

Diane, this exercise thing is becoming a bit addictive for me.  I found myself at a dinner party yesterday, talking for hours with a former competitive body builder about strength training.  Who would have believed I would have had an interest in this for two minutes, much less hours?  He is a very interesting person.  He used to be Mr. Germany or something like that and he is also a highly successful engineer, and it was his retirement party.  He is leaving HP after 25 years, so he's not just some jock.  He is currently in the middle of writing a book about fitness.  I was just fascinated with him and he seemed really happy that I finally listened to him.  I have know him for over 10 years, and he's been working on me to get moving for as long I have known him.  I learned so much last night, this is a whole new journey for me, I am really excited ( who would have thought) to take it.

That is awesome!  I love the transformation of my body since I've been lifting.  I really like my shoulders!

I find Oxygen magazine and Clean Eating magazine to be very motivating with weight training. I ordered them with my Ipad out of boredom, but now I can't wait for the next issue to come out.

Me too. My trainer introduced those magazines to me last year and I look forward to each issue. Some of the recipes are really great and can be modified quite easily.
