I am at my all time low of 141.6 , the rainy season has begun here in paradise and I have been getting woken up by monkeys howling and jumping on my roof this morning.

Going on a 6 hour trip to have my post plastics check up. I can't believe my body, when I look in the mirror I see a young....like 15yr old body staring back at me. I took my measurements today 39-27-39

I feel like I finally have my body back.

Enough about me, how are you guys doing?

Love this post. Waking up to monkeys howling and jumping on your roof. What a hoot, although, I can imagine that might be a problem at times. Your plastics results are wonderful and very inspiring for me to have something done.

I have not done weight training until now because I thought there was little reason with the extra skin. I am though going to use it to keep me on track and to hell with the skin. P90x integrates weight training and cardio. I only got through 45 min of the one hour this morning so it should do the trick. had to get a pull up/push up bar, a mat, and some dumbbells.

Weight training is so important for maintaining your lean muscle mass, which keeps your metabolism going. The problem with rapid weight loss, is that we lose muscle mass, as well as the fat, that results in a slowed down metabolism. Even with the loose skin, weight training can help to maintain and possibly increase muscle mass (with heavier weights), which will help your metabolism and bones. I have loose skin and do need plastics, but it would be worse without the weight training, and I had two plastic surgeons tell me that my results would be better, since I have some muscle mass. Don't ever discount the value and importance of weight training. It is my staple. I may go through periods of not doing very much cardio, but I always stick with the weights.

I hadnt heard of p90. The p90x seems doable for me though, will just need a few weeks to catch up to them I think. My room mate wants to do one called insanity. It is, insane, seriously.

my husband ordered p90x and we figured out it was impossible for us so we exchanged it for p90 which is doable for us slugs.   i always avoided exercise because it just seemed way too hard so an easier program suits me.  diane
