Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Saturday 9/1

Thank you Gail.  The truth is that no amount of weight training could have helped with my stomach or butt or girls.  I needed professional help with those areas.  The arms and thighs are smaller problem areas for me, so I still hold out hope that there will be some improvement, although perfection is a lost cause.  I will never look 20 again, no matter how hard I work out or who I go to for help.  Fortunately, I am OK with it. ( most of the time).  :)

 Yeah, I really do need professional help. I did have a couple of consults and both PS's said the my butt and core muscles that I have developed through weight training would definitely help to improve the outcome. I don't have flat butt syndrome any longer, but the droopiness is still present, which a LBL would do a lot to improve. I'll never look 20 again, but even 10 years younger would be grand.

I know this is counterintuitive, but are you trying to eat more calories or more food? I'm sure you know you can eat more calories with the same amount of food by making higher calorie choices but it's so ingrained in us to make the lowest carb, lowest calorie choice possible.

Have you tried choosing more calorie dense foods?

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Yes, thank you, Mom4Jazz, I have to eat calorie dense food or I will disappear. I am eating foods with much higher fat content. Cheese is a new favorite, nuts always work. I am even thinking of adding carbs back in. I really don't want to cut back on the workouts. I am at the highest weight point in my cycle right now, and I only weigh 103.6 pounds. That almost certainly means that I will lose another 1-2 pounds in the next week, just from dropping the water weight. That puts me dangerously close to the 100 pounds I never want to go below. Strange problem to have.

If this continues, I am going back to my "blintzes diet". There is nothing like eating those with some sour cream and jam. That puts the weight right back on you mighty quick. :)

 Should you drop down too low, a couple of jars of nutella will bring you right back up 5lbs..sorry couldn't resist. I researched Nutella a little bit and it seems to be one of the most calorie dense foods on the planet Earth!

On a serious note, I am so proud of you for really giving the excersize 100% and I hope you have before and afters! Did you ever have lose skin or batwings?

Nutella, mint chip ice cream shakes and my mom's secret recipe cake are all on my list of last ditch regain efforts.  :)

Thank you for you kind words, I did/do have some lose skin under my arms and in my inner thigh.  It is not bad, but it's there.  It has gotten much better in the three months since I started working out, and my trainer thinks that I will fill it all out in the next few months.

 I just saw your bikini pics and you look AMAZING and nowhere near anorexic, now I know the other moms at school are just jealous, cause you look just right!

Thank you, I think I look pretty good too, but I still get tripped up by other people's comments.  I have to remember that I just can't please everybody.  Whether they are coming from jealousy, or that is their real opinion, it doesn't even really matter.  As long as I am happy with my body and my husband is happy, all should be good and I should stop second guessing myself.  It's great to "know" all the right stuff, it's much harder to live it.  :)

Late start heading out to camp & got a major krick in my neck so that's making me feel rather ouchy! But the weight is trending down (we'll see what happens after today & possibly tomorrow's off-plan time!)
