Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Saturday 9/1

And happy September to ya!

Today we're taking an exploratory hike. Hubs and I bought some land out a little in the hills to build our retirement home. He's been unemployed so building has been deferred a couple of years, but the land actually abutts a 23,000 acre wildlife management area with hiking trails. Today we're going exploring some of those trails. We have trail maps but no topo maps, so we have no idea how challenging the trails are or how well maintained. So we'll see.

Today's weight 141. Had a "tiny tummy day" yesterday, so of course I'm...up today? Well it's a good thing so I'll take it, but I'll never understand my body.

How are you doing? Any holiday weekend plans?

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

sounds fun exploring unknown trails, i am sure you will have a blast!

No big plans, boring school life. Just homework on the IT project mgmt. class I am in now. I got my last final back and passed first time through, no revisions! I am excited because it was supposed to be a beast and apparently most have to do major revisions and submit a few times, woot! I was holding off really digging into the new class because I hate to break away and switch tracks back to do revisions. I have 8 weeks left in this term and the new class has at least one crazy long assignment so I need to spend this weekend really digging in and getting some reading done. Funny thing is about the MBA, IT program is that the learning part of the class seems to be the shortest. It is all about writing papers, templates, and presentations. Anyway, I knew what I was getting into with an MBA. I am just thankful they call it a "working" degree so no thesis required! There is though a huge capstone project at the end. Anyway, one step at a time, right. Have a good weekend all!

176 for the last 3 days.  Yeah!  This is the first I have ever had a weight actually not jumping all over the place.  I pray I am finally getting the hang of this.  This isn't the weight I want to stay at but I am going to celebrate the small victory rigtht now.

135.5 this morning, same as yesterday.  Cleaning today.  I hate cleaning, especially the bathroom.  Maybe I'll go do something fun when they're done.

Happy September to you too Mom.  123.5  Woo Hoo!  I'll take it!  Nothing big planned.  Might go to Home Depot or Lowes and see what kind of mischief I can get into with a new outdoor project...

Well live and learn.

I had an exceptionally distressing day yesterday and in the end, at about 10pm, I gave in to the old ' let me eat my way out of this pain.  I need comfort."

However part way through this binge ( on carrots, grape tomatoes and mayonnaise, and almond milk and some left over pork from supper ) I thought.  NO!  I am not doing this.

Food is not going to take away the emotional turmoil.

I spat out the mouthful ( sorry, TMI )  and threw the rest  away.

Am proud of that.

Am not proud of the fact that am up three pounds this morning.

Ever onwards.

So sorry about your day. Good for you for catching yourself at your old patterns and stopping. That's huge.

Hope today is better.

Thank you.

Yes, today is better.  Marginally.  But better.
