Oh my, don't tell Alan, that's his guitar hero.  Alan can play every single one of his songs note for note.  He even has the same guitar that Satriani has, it's crazy how much he worships this guy. Alan also loves Steve Vai and Yngwie Malnsteen.  If you close your eyes and pretend they are in the room, Alan's guitar playing is accurate in every way.  It's kind of spooky.

Here are a couple of shots done at my Studio..... not by me..... it was a studio rental to Sony Music I think and a photog from NYC came in to shoot it.

He brought his sound tech with him and he played for the photos.......(But you get that anytime!)

He was also here another time for...... Humbucker Pickups (I think)

Those are really cool.  I bought Alan the same guitar for his birthday a few years back.  He still plays it most days.  You have a really fun job.

Shed the few wacky water-weight lbs that hopped on yesterday, back to 144.9.

My interview yesterday went great! I don't want to jinx myself, but I have a good feeling.. it was over two hours of chatting, questions, more chatting, office tour.. I think they were more interested in making sure personalities meshed (small Drs office, tight knit group-most have been there more than 10 years!) Things clicked, I literally got the thumbs up from the practice manager, saying as she had to head out and get her kids- yep, I really like her! I may have a job! *no jinx* If it doesn't work out, well- at least I got my feet wet with my first interview in 7 years.

It would be a desk-job, 10hr days- but only 4 days a week. 30 min commute to the nice side of town (closer to where I'd love to move eventually when we can get our houses fixed up & sold.)

Today: cooking up a storm.. Up & cooking before coffee even (drinking now.) Pot roast in the crock, 4 heads of cauliflower & 6 leeks for soup to go, and low-carb chocolate scones to make still.. I have a huge annual camp reunion to go to tomorrow, hope we don't get drenched out.. if so, we all jam into the lodge and try to stay dry. Hoping that's not the case since this year we have some bluegrass bands lined up!

Sending good vibes your way for success. What type of position is it? Your recipes are always so interesting sounding. I tried some of Frank's Buffalo sauce in the 2% Fage yogurt and dipped chicken in it, very yummy.

Front office admin, billing/scheduling/insurance paperwork for a pediatric dentistry practice that handles a lot of special needs kids.

Nice crew! Creative folks, just need to get my head around working in a small office again- I've been playing home-maker and house rehabber for the last year.. They do have a nice full kitchen break room, but since we are on the clock the entire day- our "break" is 30mins, but we need to stay close to our posts.. so no chance to get out and walk during the break period.. such as life in a small family practice.. no corporate dictated hr break, 15 min break am & pm. I must figure things that I can easily nibble neatly at my desk if I get it, as I do feel a need to eat every 3-4. But the full fridge, micro, oven & cooktop will help, plus I'd imagine having a beverage at the desk is ok.. so shakes are an easy go-to.

There were wonderful looking blueberry scones on the table when I was there, home-made by the younger Dr himself.. apparently he's a bit of a baker, and of course they let me know come 3pm, someone is popping cookies in the oven or ordering pizza for lunch.. The downside of office work- snacks.

135.5 this morning, so slid a half-pound down...I may chow down some nuts this weekend, that usually is good for adding a few ounces.

So much news from everyone! Birthdays and anniversaries, goal met, promotions and successful interviews...congratulations everyone on havinga great week, and hope you feel better, Rob.

The scale said 133, after I'd already had about 24 oz of liquid... So I don't know.

I'm sure it is up a bit after the bad eating earlier in the week, but I doubt I'm really up 3 lbs. Either way, I'm not messing around with it. Extra liquids and clean eating today.

I'm also sick, though the nurse practitioner I saw on campus (between classes) yesterday told me that my fever, runny nose, coughing and sore throat weren't enough for meds, "Just tough it out." was the answer I got. Ugh! Should be fun at work today...
