Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Saturday 8/25
Good morning. Now we have two hikes planned this weekend - a short one today followed by shopping/housework and a longer one tomorrow.
Today's weight: 140.6.
After maintaining between 142 and 144 for a month, I've been down significantly each of the last two days. I'm almost in tears about this...I swear I'm >-< this close to having a pint of Ben & Jerry's this afternoon/evening. Grrrrrr.
Mostly good here otherwise. How about you?

Hey mom, back away from the Ben & Jerry's!! :)
I know you do a lot of long walks/hikes. Do you take snacks to eat along the way? Maybe add more nuts/granola or something to up the calories? Snack more often?? IDK?
I intentionally gained 5 lbs from my lowest weight (130) because I felt I was too thin for my body type. I didnt do it the healthy way. I added crap and continued to keep the crap in my diet for a long time. I maintained between 136-139. Now that I have cleaned up the crap (with the except of the f'ing B-day cake this week) and have started eating healthy my weight has dropped below 135.
I'm not going to add the crap back in to intentionally gain again. I'm just going to keep eating healthy with occasional crap and see what happens.
HW: 228/GW: 140/CW: 134
Yeah I take high calorie snacks.
Here's what has been happening, literally for months now. I up my calories, my weight levels off for 2-4 weeks, then my metabolism seems to kick it up a notch. I up my calories again, repeat. And again, repeat. This last time, my weight held for a full month, then suddenly dropped again.
It's not that I'm not willing to up my calories - it's that each time I up my calories and think I've got it, I start losing again! Grrr.

Sorry that you are still having problems with losing. I agree, about adding nuts, healthy fats (avocado), etc. I'm sure that you are doing all that. I have NEVER had that problem of keeping weight on, but I'm vertically challenged and even though I am active, I don't think that I am as active as you. I think that you will find a healthy medium, eventually. But, don't bring back cr*p.

Would it be alright if I joined you folks in this daily maintenance weigh in? I am still 8 lbs from goal and struggling to get there so I think that some accountability may help get those last 8 pounds off. I will not increase my calories until I get to goal. I was even thinking about doing a week of full liquids to see if that would help.
