Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Wednesday August 15
Middle of the week, middle of the month, kind of a middlin' day all around. Got an appointment this afternoon to have the ear looked at. Hopefully nothing, but I'd rather be sure.
Today's weight 143.4
Looked at my weight chart and I'm within a pound of what I weighed a month ago today and less than two pounds from two months ago. The overall trend is still slightly down (I was bouncing between 145 and 146 then and between 143 and 144 now) but I'm thrilled with how close to stable I finally am. Maybe another 25-50 calories a day will do it!
Did 25 real push-ups last night (15 in one set, 10 in the second) and an additional 55 girlie knee push-ups plus a 90-second plank. Not huge but progress for me and I'm pretty pleased. Got a good lateral knee brace that allows more movement so I'm going to try jogging again. Not optimistic - I actually got the brace for biking - but I've always wanted to be able to run. We'll see.

Today is a run day, so I was up early. On my way to work right now. Doing some photos of DH this evening and planning a nice dinner with him.

I went shopping yesterday and had an "aha!" experience. I found myself behind a mannequin wearing size 6 jeans and for the first time had a true visual of what size my hips, waist, and butt are. I can't really tell in my mirror. I know intellectually I am smaller but emotionally I still sometimes feel like a hippo.
I wonder how long until my head image of myself catches up with my new body?

It's been a tough week so far. Put my 18 year old cat to sleep yesterday and I haven't felt like eating much recently though I've been trying to drink lots of water. Lost a pound yesterday..which is good, but it's surprising to drop so much at the point. I still want to lose a few more.
