Four and four
Hi, these two "4"'s are things to be thankful for and i am so glad for you. good to hear that the spinal surgery is beginning to show some results. it must be a slow and uncomfortable experience but I so hope that it goes well and you have a good result. but with the weight off you are in such a good position to make it work.
let us know how you are doing. will you have physical therapy? is your doctor happy with your progress? we are all thinking of you and hope you are through the worst of it. diane

Thanks for the post. I just had my VSG (sleeve) on June 29th and today I had my weigh in and lost a total of 46 pounds. Exciting to say the least but about 120 more pounds to go. In respects to your spine surgery, I had major back surgery 2 years ago and know the pain, feeling and everything that goes along with it.
Your my inspiration!

Hey Bob -- Congratulations on being a relatively new sleevester! Sounds like you are doing a great job of ditching the poundage. Just follow the rules, eat protein first, veggies next, and a very few complex carbs if you have room. Drink water like a fish. Stay far away from simple carbs and sugar; they are the devil and cause you to crave more of the same.
And you probably already know all that stuff, but as a vet I feel obligated to preach :-)
Yeah, back surgery is awful. This was my *fourth* spinal surgery in three years. The other three fell apart, so I found another surgeon, and I am holding on to her reputation for fixing other surgeons' messes and the fact that she fixed up a relative of a friend of mine. And I'm praying like mad that this one is the last! So far so good, but it is a really hard go.
Best wishes on your continuing journey!
