Four and four

Four weeks ago today, a surgeon at Emory Orthopedic and Spine Hospital put my poor ol' spine back together, and this morning, I do believe I feel a tad better than I have so far.  They have been four weeks that I would not wish on my worst enemy, but I would not take it back for anything in the world ... except for a healthy spine to start with.

And four years ago today, Dr. Alvarez performed my vertical sleeve gastrectomy to help me, once and for all, have a chance at winning the 30-year war against excess poundage.  Seeing as how I weigh 140 pounds less than I did a decade ago, I am grateful beyond belief.

The pain of a disintegrated spine and the anguish and shame of morbid obesity are two things I pray no one ever has to experience.  Thank God for the opportunity to come out the other side of both situations!

Keep getting better and better. Just like our weight loss regimen, take it a day (pound) at a time. So glad you are back on here again. We will help you!
