Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 7/29
Hey, it's Sunday already. Has been for 43 minutes. Olympics are affecting my sleeping patterns.
Will weigh in when I get up in the morning. I expect my weight will be up - major hike today (a little over 12 miles, with mountain) and I ate a lot of carbs to compensate. Should be full o' fluid in the morning. If I'm very puffy I won't even weigh.
Happy Sunday.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
186.4 - on 1200 calories a day now. I am only upping 200 a wee****il I find my balance point.
My Thomas and I are going to start hiking some of the local trails around Nashville. It should be a lot of fun.
I have relatives coming in tonight and we are going to cook for them. I am thinking of making hamburger sliders on pretzel rolls. I can have one 3 ounce slider on a roll and it fits nicely in with my day. I will spend a lot more time today cleaning and prepping for the invasion.
And like you vy, I am allowing myself 1 quest bar a day, max 2 depending on the day. I like how it helps keep my protein numbers way up and is something I can do on the go.

124.0
sidled my way up to 125.2 yesterday and then hit the panic button. So easy for me to gain--had had one restaurant meal of a few corn chips and lettuce salad and that was all--well that and too much teriyaki jerky one day in the car. Maintenance is turning out to be really hard for me. It seems my maintenance is going to be around 1100 to 1200 per day and not one calorie over. Thank goodness the small jar of peanut butter is now gone--I was way over-indulging there too at night. Just cannot do it. trial and error. One has to eat those forbidden things before one knows--right? Anyway got back on track yesterday and dropped 1.2 pounds. I am trying to stay 120 to 125--ie a 5 pound range. Eating Lean and Clean again today. Happy Sunday everyone!

Bunnymom....maintenance is hard. If you go back to the beginning of this maintenance forum, you will see that the original members all were trying to figure how to live in maintenance.
I was taking to my surgeon yesterday at the support group. I told him it finally clicked with me that my 'remodeled eating plan' is a true lifestyle change....not just a diet. I need to keep some trigger foods out of my house and if I slide, then I need to jump back on my plan as soon as I can.
I'm almost 2 years out and have regained 7 lbs....I started on a 3 day protein drink plan yesterday and will continue for today and tomorrow. Then I'll get back into eating per plan, dense protein, vegetables and some fruit and few whole grains. I realize that I need to eat like this to maintain my slimness ...which is very important to me after having surgery to achieve this.
So, I will allow myself a few things off my plan once a week....and see how that works for me. It's so easy to slip and slide. After all, we all had a problem with overeating and that is why we are here.
By the way, my surgeon said to continue weighing daily to keep track...and if I get up 3 to 4 lbs, to hit the 'panic button' and do something before it goes too far.
