Bragging on Shrinking Nerd
So my hubby the Shrinking Nerd is now down to 215 lbs from a high of 383. Weight is just falling off him as I predicted it would. He will be an interesting study in maintenance. I suspect he is going to blow past his goal of 190 and have trouble stopping losing.
He had a hiatal hernia repair by Dr. C 16 days ago and seems to be back to his usual silly self. Dr. also tightened up the upper part of his sleeve during the hernia repair. Hubby really notices the additional restriction. He is on mushy foods for a few more days so I made him his favorite chili and ran it through the food processor.
Now the challenge is to get him out of his baggy sweat pants and into some better clothes!!!

Yes Elina I think you are right about the calories. And for awhile he is going to have trouble getting them in. Remember those days? I got worried and was always whining to Dr. C I was getting too thin. Glad I listened to him and you and others and didn't try to gain weight. I am doing just fine. Shrinking Nerd will too. Diane
Name change is in order.......

Haha Frisco..
He is doing awesome! Only thing I have to add on this is if you really want him to like dressing nice I would recommend finding a goodwill in a ritzy part of town and have him get a few designer shirts and pants. It really makes you feel like a new man. Since changing over my wardrobe several times this year I find I have about 20 slacks, dress shirts, and ties and only about 3 jeans and literally one tshirt. I love looking good and I would bet given the chance he would too.

hey E, so Shrinking Nerd ordered all this stuff from Land's End. Today he puts it on. Black sweats size L and black long sleeved t shirt size L. He looks svelt. I am gonna try to get him to pose for a pic. Gonna burn those old baggy 5x things.
We live in an area that is so laid back and casual that wearing dress pants would make people think he was a Jehovah's Witness. But i may get him to get some nicer stuff. He ordered multiple things from Lands End in the same color and style!!!! Diane
