Beach day! (pics) xposted
Had the day off today so I went to the beach with a couple friends. This is the second time I've been to the beach this summer. First time around it started raining on us so I didn't get any pictures like I had promised.
Well, today it was about 99 degrees and sunny so I got lots of pictures and a pretty nice sunburn (currently icing it to pull the heat out, it'll be tan tomorrow).
So... here's the proof!
We left early, so coffee on the way was needed (mine is decaf)
Laying out, acquiring skin cancer... lol
Enjoying the sunshine
I was taking pictures of the kids, lol (I'm in the pink shorts)
Getting my toes wet!
Now, was I nervous about being in a swimsuit in public? Hell yes! But, I did it anyway! I can safely say that going to the beach isn't something that I did at my heaviest. And I'll be damned if my saggy thighs and arms showing is going to stop me from doing the things I missed out on before I had surgery. And guess what, no one noticed... and if they did they didn't say anything.
I enjoyed my day and had a great time! Another reason I'm thankful everyday for having my VSG, because I'm living my life to the fullest and fully intend to continue doing so.

You look really great! And so happy, I love it! I just got back from a week at the beach myself. Isn't it great to just wear something normal, and not have to hide under layers while people stare. I was also feeling a bit self conscious at first, but when you look around most people have a little (or a lot) of sag or pudge. I'm glad you had fun and thanks for sharing it!
