Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday July 17
You know, I struggle with this everyday. When I had my body fat tested, according to my BMR, I should be eating more calories/day, but I have been afraid to increase it, by very much. In order to build muscle, more calories do need to be eaten, but I completely understand that it is a difficult thing to do. My protein intake is very good. On the days that I do cardio, I tend to eat more calories, but it can challenging.

Detoxing from carbs. I let a few back in and noticed I was snacking more. It did not make me gain but noticed that is a bad behavior I had avoided since surgery.

Perfect attitude.
I've lost quite a bit since I've been in maintenance but one thing I noticed was the closer my weight got to mid-normal BMI, the more my weight fluctuated up and down, instead of straight down.
You're a math guy. Here's a thought for you: If your weight is going to fluctuate (and it will), and you fight to never let it fluctuate up from your all time low, you will disappear completely since the only way it can go is down and you'll keeping setting new bars of all time low along the way.
Maintenance: the ultimate mind game.

Thats exactly what my group leader said last night, that she thought the transition to maintenance was the hardest thing she ever did.
I still sometimes have to learn to give up the illusion of control. I have my life back, im getting my eyes fixed, and plastic torture on the first of october. Time to live my life for me - not the scale.
