Protein smoothies?

So I do not want to get anyone up in arms here. I made a post the other day in a maintenance thread but I think it was to late in the day for replies. Has anyone started eating them regularly? I miss my pineapple and blueberry shakes but am wary of the carbs even for maintenance. my question is, has anyone found a way to integrate then in place of a regular protein shake? I guess my lazy ass could look up the nutrition on them. I used to enjoy them regularly when I was younger but was body building and could eat about anything and just sweat it out. Youth as they say is wasted on the young! Anyway, mainly trying to find a way to add more fruit and vegetable matter to the menu to get back to being regular naturally.

Normally I stick to RTD shakes like premier protein.

Sometimes on the weekends. I'll venture and make my own shakes utilizing Gold whey powder from Vitamin shoppe. I'll add up the nutrition info by utilizing Myfitnesspal to measure the ingredients I add. Sometimes I'll do fresh fruit.

If I'm real lazy I'll just utilize a smoothie base such as: http://www.yoplait.com/products/yoplait-smoothie-yogurt Costco's sells the big bags. When I use this; since it's frozen, I don't have to add ice to give it the smoothie consistency.

yep i used to do some protein powder, some gy, maybe some skim milk and frozen blueberries. I also got a cuisinart blender that won't burn up grinding ice and sometimes do protein smoothies with it.

I'm afraid of the carbs in the fruit, but I enjoy a smoothie made with protein powder, almond milk, and greek yogurt for thickness. I tip toed in to the fruit realm with some frozen strawberries and bananas, but I'm pretty sure the result was higher in carbs than I want, and the fruit flavor was still pretty anemic. SF syrups like Torani seem to add too much sweetness along with the flavor. Maybe a teaspoon or so of SF instant jello to achieve a flavor without too much fruit?

They are ussually in the forzen section of the supermarket where the Ice cream is. I found that when I use them I don't have to add any sweetners. If I you do want it extra sweet and even thicker you can add SF jello instant pudding.

One of my favorite store bought smoothies is the Gladiator from Smoothie King. I think Diane is a fan as well.

I usually get it with strawberry powder and strawberry and Bananas. It's 45 grams of protein.

I'm sure this is without the fruit in it:

Wow, that's a lot of protein. So probably depending on the fruit in the 20 carb range which is doable. I don't assume ill want to eat for awhile after that lol. I know they will use splenda there too if you ask. I used to get one there that they called engineered foods.
