Stopping by...
I'm only 10 months out and I'm not at goal yet, but I had to stop by. I am a patient, patient person but I even I feel overwhelmed by the flood of new posters and questions about cheating on pre-op diets, etc. It's important for me to keep reading and posting right now, it helps me remember what my life could be like.
I just wanted to say, thanks for all your help to me, and thanks for keeping me sane and focused. I'll get to goal and be a "full-fledged" member here one day. In the meantime, just wanted to say thank you.
Hi Happy, you are a patient, patient person! I am sure your posts are appreciated.
There are many times I find myself shaking my head at my computer screen, but what can you do other than offer up your honest thoughts on the matter and let the person decide how to move forward from there?
I also think of how many people on here helped me when I hit bumps in my journey (granted those bumps weren't at 6 days post op and were different than what we've been seeing on the main VSG board lately...) and how I likely would not have been nearly successful if it weren't for the helpful vets taking time to offer concern and advice. That makes it a tiny bit easier to take a moment to respond.
But, I've also been MIA for the past several months due to job change and long distance move, so maybe I'm a bit more Pollyanna right now than most.
I also think that if you get overly frustrated or overwhelmed by these posts, its best to take a break for a few days or come hang out in this group more.
Alright, well as usual, I find myself rambling, but the whole point was, I'll thank you on behalf of the newbies who don't know what a gift you've given them by doling out some very useful advice.
Best,
Lindsey

I hope you feel quite welcome to read and post here anytime you want. Your wisdom and dedication made you a "veteran" from the word "Go". I always enjoy your point of view and look forward to your posts. In truth, I am really glad that you are still posting on the main VSG board because I am really losing patience with most of it and it makes me feel guilty to just pass up a plea for help. Seeing that you have already reasoned helps me to move on knowing that the person already received valuable advice.
Hi Happy! Glad you stopped by, please post here anytime. Your insight is wonderful and you are soooo very patient! Just gloss over the VSGer's that don't "get it" and try to help the ones you think are listening. I think that's where we have to come from at this stage or we'd all go stark raving mad! I look forward to hearing more from you here...
