Trish_trish, you are right. There are a lot of REALLY smart people on this board - maybe even scary smart! I'm really enjoying the old posts just because they documented the journey of this group, and I'm undertaking that same journey right now so everything (well, almost everything) on there seems very relevant to me.
I will try to jump into the conversations as often as I can. The truth is, since surgery, I've been low-carbing it in an attempt to fast-track my weight loss. Well, the low carb lifestyle really affects my little brain in that sometimes, it's hard for me to even think, lol! It's a wonder I've managed to do my job all this time. I'm looking forward to adding back a few carbs (not a lot though) if only to get some brain function back (let's hope I haven't done any permanent damage, lol!). I know it's strange but it's true, alas. So anyway, that's why I don't post often. Hopefully, in maintenance, I can be more active.
Thank you for your warm welcome!

I love that you do dog shows. I have one rescue dog and I can barely keep up with her upkeep, much less multiple dogs! Hats off to you!
Thank you again!

Hmmm...when you say your low carbing will have to be permanent, may I ask how many carbs a day you can have without gaining? during workout days, I can have upto 35 carbs. During non-workout days, it's about 25. Are you able to have more that that? I sure hope so.....
Many thanks!
