Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Wednesday 6/27

Good morning. Today is day 7 of my 30-day no-weigh. Technically, I guess I cheated yesterday, as I went to my PCP and they weighed me. It wasn't a solid comparison - afternoon in jeans vs. my usual morning in nothing - but it suggested I'm holding steady.

Anyway, the Doc did diagnose exercise induced asthma. I got an inhaler to use before I do strenuous exercise like my mountain hikes or if I have an attack. Hopefully that'll solve the problem.

How is everyone doing today?

Well, you made quick work of that issue. I really hope it helps. I know you love your hikes.

Holding pretty steady, mixing in more veggies. Would really love to get enough carbs in to start being regular unassisted again. Maybe I should start eating a bit of fruit now too. I hate to say it but it is hard not just drinking shakes on the run for my meals all the time. I need to go back and see what kind of things everyone is eating. Do you all get enough fruit and veggies to stay regular or is it still a battle?

Yeah, I love my doctor's office. Usually you can get in to see one of the Physician's Assistants within 24-48 hours of calling for an appointment, and they have an Urgent Care nearby for same-day visits. This time, though, my regular doctor had a cancelation and I was actually able to see her next day.

On the regularity, fruits and veggies: I eat a Quest bar a day which is enough fiber to settle that little matter. I still do protein shakes so I have branched out in the veggie and fruit department. I eat one to two veggie-only meals a day, plus fruit in a smoothy and usually a yogurt. Usually 2 to 4 small servings a day.

BTW: You're always first in here in the morning, so I wondered if I could impose on you. I'll be on vacation and unable to post this consistently from Saturday 7/7 through Sunday 7/15 (back on duty on 7/16). Any chance you could post the weigh-in for those 9 days?

I would be happy to through the 12th but then I am flying out till the 15th. I can try though but you know how it is when you are on the road. We will get it done though..even if I do not weigh in.

If you take 7/7 - 7/12, I'll find someone else to help with 7/13 - 7/15.

Thanks!

133.5 today!

Got my shipment of Quest bars in the mail yesterday afternoon! So I was super stoked about that! Spent some time in the sun by the pool yesterday afternoon before making the "fancy but healthy" dinner for my mini dinner party yesterday. Turned out great and I think I've convinced my friend that low carb doesn't have to = boring food.

Full day at work today, then out to celebrate my bestie's birthday!

Yay for Fancy but Healthy.

I'm lazy. Simple but healthy. And sometimes boring. But easy. I do sometimes give ideas I get on here to hubs, who is more ambitious. Any great recipes or such come out of this?

Grilled some chicken kabobs for the meat eaters, some ahi tuna for myself.

Then I made an Asian inspired broccoli slaw. Added diced red pepper, green onion, radish, green peas, sliced almonds and mixed lite Italian dressing and sesame ginger dressing together and tossed it all together.

We also had cucumbers slices with goat cheese pre-dinner.

Not super fancy, but fancy for my friends considering they survive mostly on pb&j, grilled cheese and McDonald's.

Up a tad but I'm not too concerned. I had a few salty items yesterday.
