Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday 6/21
Good morning. So how are you enjoying your summer?
Ironic adj. - when the person posting the "Daily Maintenance Weigh In" joins a 30 day no-weigh challenge in support of a pal.
If you guys don't mind, I'll keep posting this because I enjoy interacting with you guys and learn a lot, but instead of the day's weight you'll get a day count of my challenge. Today is 30-Day No-Weigh day 1 of 30.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22
175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012
Well I had an interesting evening.

So im down a stupid amount of weight in one day. WARNING TMI...
So last evening I got a pain in my lower right abdomen. Along with the pain came this feeling I had to go to the bathroom (#2). So I did as nature commanded. The feeling though did not go away. So I spent the evening going back and forth to the bathroom trying to rid myself of the ache and feeling in my guts. It never did go away. This forced me to miss half my liquids and dinner last night as I also did not feel like eating. I woke up in pain a few times last night and assumed I would be taking a trip to the hospoital today. Well I woke up and it has all passed. I still think im going to go get checked out next week just in case. The internet strikes again and I swore it was appendicitis. I dont know what to make of it all at this point but im a bit scared to be honest. It was a horrible feeling. On the positive side I know im all emptied out down there haha.
On a more positive note. I invested in a Withings scale which I got yesterday. It is a stupid amount of money but hooks up to wifi and sends my weight, bmi, fat %, and Lean % to an acct online. This account attachs itself to Endomondo which I am using to track my physical activity. Additionally, I am getting a Zephyr heart rate monitor today which hooks up to my phone via bluetooth and tracks my rate while running. This info along with speed, distance, calories etc. All upload to Endomondo as well. Figure it will help me get into better shape. All that data is like having a personal trainer that tells me how to improve my health. I am heavily invested now so hopefully it will be the motivation I need to push forward, quit smoking, and get my butt in shape.
On that note does anyone know the normal range for fat%? Guess, I could Google it :P
Anyway thanks for reading this mess of a post, hope my health turns out to be a fluke.

Oh, dear. Hope things are OK with your health. If it recurs even a little, please get it checked.
As for the "more positive note" paragraph, it becomes evident from your post that you might be a gadget geek. I'm married to one of those and recognize the symptoms. Hope you like all your new toys!

Thank you mom, that is precisely what I was looking for! As far as being a geek, I AM THROUGH AND THROUGH. I even have an Intel looking Geek Inside sticker on my car haha. I am seriously contemplating getting a geek tattoo on my forearm. I am serious... luckily my wife is too and very understanding as long as I let her go out and buy her $100 in makeup lol.
I am feeling a small ache down there still after moving around a bit this morning. Will be making an appt. To see a doc today. I hope it is nothing serious.

Eric--I have had the same thing happen to me in the last few months twice. Maybe TMI, but it was a fecal plug lodged in my right colon. The minute it passed, the pain went away. Dang, they hurt, and happened even when I take 2 Magnesiums/1 stool softener/2 FiberCons EVERY single day. We are so prone to this--I think we all are. I often ponder why our bowel patterns are so different now, after surgery, but I think, for me, it is lack of carbs, no gluten, few fruits, etc. The pain for you might have been the very same thing. I now can recognize it in the early stages and I take some extra Miralax (hate the stuff), but it prevents it from reaching its full potential. Good luck, hope it is as minor a thing as this.

I'm still up 3 pounds from last week, but down 2.2 in a day. My legs are feeling better which is good as I am showing dogs for three days this weekend in Orlando. I will be doing a lot of walking and hauling 'stuff' around. I just hope I can get into my 'show' shoes tomorrow morning. I may do some wraps tonight on my legs tonight.

Focusing on protein and water today. Trying to cut off a migrane that is starting.
Oh, I am doing an 8K on 4th of July...in Dallas!! It'll be HOT. I've committed to a 13.1 in October. I have lost my mind.
