I believe it may be real....he said he's 6 foot 4, which would give him a longer sleeve with more capacity. Plus, I have a lot of newbies as friends on My Fitness Pal, and I really really cannot believe the crap they eat, and the large amounts of crap at that.
There is one poster, who, at a few days post-op drank 20 ounces of diet soda, since then, it's been a never ending array of chips, cookies, ice-cream, you name it , she's eaten it. At 3 weeks post-op she ate a breakfast bagel at McDonald's, she is now 4 months post-op and every single meal, every single day is from a fast food restaurant. She can horf a lot of the crap down too. Way more than I can eat even at 20 months post-op. And of course, she's stalled.
She has been being advised non-stop by other sleevers to change her diet. She does good for a day or two then goes back to crap. She actually isn't the worst offender though. There's another lady, who is 3 months post-op and eats lots of crap, with a daily calorie range of 1400-1700 calories, with low protein. These two are one of many...
Either they all have big sleeves, or those foods are sliding fast, despite the fact that they are early out from surgery. Since I have been reading newbie's daily food diaries every day for quite awhile, this man's hamburger and fries report neither shocks me nor makes me believe he is not real. I am think it is real....I've seen a lot lately. I know many of them are from the OH main VSG board, but I cannot place them as they have different user names on MFP.
Paula S. has many of the same newbie friends as me, and we've talked plenty over the phone about the newbie's on MFP. We've been trying to post lots of hints and tips to try to steer them right......but.....to no avail.....They just keep shoveling the **** into their pie holes...but, there have been a few that we have helped....

Yes, I understand why you don't, and it is much more volitile on MFP, than the main VSG board. The reason Paula S. and I do stay friends with them is because we can feed them those tips and hints. Most keep eating crappy, but, there are a few who have come around. If we can help even one get on track, it's worth it.......

Yep...you got it. She's the one. Do you know who she is on OH? I'm not going to dump her because I sort of like her as a person, despite her issues, and I want to help her when she falls, which I think she is in the process of doing now. She is either going to turn herself around, or she will stop tracking her food intake and disappear, or be on the failed weight loss surgery board blaming her surgery type on her failure. The reason why I like her as a person is because she is a toughy. She works outside in the Texas heat doing a strenuous, physically hard, man's job. I respect that. It takes moxy to do what she does.
I really want to help her, I don't want her to fail. But yea, reading her food diary is hell isn't it??? She can woof the food down! She can eat a 6 inch sub with chips, and wa**** down with a coke at 4 months post-op!!!!

Are you friends with Pollyowl? She's in England, is a few months post-op, eating between 1400-1700 calories a day, and eats cakes, chocolate, biscuits and the like every single day. She is following her nutritionist's guide for calorie consumption....OY. I've been unable to convince her to lower her carbs and calories, and raise her protein. She is so adorable, a sweet older lady in a wheelchair, and I so desperately want to help the poor dear....Maybe I should invite her to VSG too. I had not even thought of that. Great idea! You should friend her on MFP, she could really use the support.
P.S. I think her sleeve is big. I've been reading her food diary and her intake quanties are quite impressive.
